Mount Manengouba is an ancient volcano, reaching an altitude of approximately 2,396 meters, located in the Littoral Region, near Melong. It is one of Cameroon’s most iconic volcanic massifs and offers a spectacular landscape shaped by ancient volcanic activity.
From the summit, one can see the famous Twin Lakes, two crater lakes nestled within the volcano’s ancient caldera. Despite their proximity, these two bodies of water possess distinct characteristics, which fuels numerous local legends and reinforces the mystical nature of the site.
